''The harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap we esteem too lightly.'' -Thomas Paine I have to write an essay on this qouto and I don't know what to write about and I don't even know what it means!
What does this mean????internet
It kind of means that if you work harder for something, your achievement is more valued. Something gained too easily is not something you're very proud of.
What does this mean????network
It means that if you work harder, and you go through hard stuff, you'll be happier when you're done...
Cool! I wrote something on Thomas Paine once!
It means you will be more recognized for your success and you will appreciate more something if you had to fight or work hard to get it...
Exemples : using Yahoo answer is easier than to look in Wikipedia or in the books, you maybe retain less of this work for later :)
Something you got for free is ususally less important if you loose it. But if you pay something 1000$ you'll usually take care of not breaking or loose it.
It means, ''The bigger the problem is, the beter it feels when you overcome it. And, What we obtain easily, we don't often appreciate it''
You should write about real life examples of a time when you or someone you know felt great for overcoming a major problem. You could also add of something you have but don't always appreciate beacause it was easy to obtain.
Hope that was helpful to you
