Basically can you meet good times and bad times and treat them the same, to not over react.

2. He is say it is alright to dream but don't let the dreams you have overwhelm you and take over your thoughts. Kipling is saying don't let your thoughts become your master to take over, To just hink something through with out abcessing on them and over reacting. To just think and not react on a thought

1. He's suggesting that not only are life's tragedies not as enduring and meaningful as they seem at the time, but that our victories and triumphs in life are also fundamentally hollow; he's saying that we should cling to neither past glories nor lingering failures.

2. He's encouraging us to be men of action, not just dreamers and philosophers who ''make thoughts their aim''. Those people may have great ideas, but it takes action to make those dreams a reality.
