Does anybody know about John Peters who was involved in the gulf war?

How does he fit in the category triumph and tragedy?

What happened to him and what did he do?

Websites about him?

Facts about John Peters please...

Why are people still buying into Holyfield's delusions that he has a shot?

He has no shot, because he is shot. Has been for quite a while.

I love stories of triumph over adversity as much as the next guy - I loved 'Rudy' and 'The Natural' - but there comes a time when reality has to intercede.

I've been a fan of Holyfield's since the eighties, but at 43, and with too many wars behind him, he is his own worst enemy.

Evander has not beaten a viable opponent since Hasim Rachman in '02, and was actually suspended after his dismal performance against Larry Donald.two years ago.

Anyone who has a rudimentary understanding of the sport of boxing can take one look at him and know he's a tragedy waiting to happen, yet since he beat an insurance salesman several weeks ago, a fair number of people actually think he can chase these windmills successfully. Don Quixote would be proud.

He's NOT going to be a George Foreman, because he doesn't have Foreman's size and strength advantage.

However, America is a free country - he can destroy himself if he wants.

Who wrote the fable of the little boy in an imaginary world of monsters?

I saw a T-shirt of these characters the other day and I remembered reading the fable, i think its a fable, but I couldn't remember the name of it or the author. I know the little boy is in pajamas and the monsters are carrying him in a position of triumph or celebration in one of the pictures.

Is ';State Sovereignty'; a valid reason for NOT invading Iraq and Afghanistan?

Why do people decree ''State Sovereignty'' a reason for not deposing Saddam ??

The most ridiculous argument an activist or diplomat can make in defense of a dictator like Saddam Hussein is that the tyrant cannot be deposed because of his nation Sovereignty. The notion that America did not have the authority to overthrow one of the worst dictators (over 1,000,000 civilians killed during his reign ) that ever walked the face of the earth because of state sovereignty is absurd.

Based on that logic : Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Kosovo, Bosnia, Rwanda, Sudan are unable to be touched because they too are sovereign nations.

The genocide in Rwanda, for example, has been mourned theatrically in retrospect 鈥?Europeans especially will weep over corpses, but will do nothing to protect those still alive. In America we call this cowardice!

The sole purpose for any government is to protect its citizens. A state that kills its own people has no legitimacy! NO MATTER WHAT THE TYRANNT RIDDEN UNITED NATIONS SAYS. Knowing what we all no now about the mass graves and torture chambers, WMD attacks, and countless other severe infractions of鈥?international law鈥? how can any moral person state that Saddam should have been left alone?

Sovereignty cannot be an excuse for uninhibited savagery. Saddam was a HITLER to his people. People who objected to the removal of Saddam Hussein鈥檚 regime on grounds of state sovereignty are the moral descendents of those who looked away from Hitler鈥檚 crimes. The difference today is that those who condone mass murder pose as moral arbiters and demand to know what right America has to decide which governments are tolerable and which are not. The answer is simple. 鈥淲hen the forces for good fail to act, the forces of evil triumph.鈥?And America is the worlds essential force for good. No amount of fashionable anti-Americanism will change that. And though we may not always have the blessing from the rest of the world to depose dictators, tyrants, murderers and terrorists we will surge forward and do what we know is right. The world will be better for it.

Personally, I vouch for the Foundations to be the basis of the new Galactic Empire

The conclusion of foundation?free anti virus

    Is this what you mean?

    ''The Unwritten Sequel

Foundation and Earth takes place only some 500 years into the 1,000-year Seldon plan. The ending hints greatly at the next part of the story. As detailed by his wife in It's Been a Good Life, Asimov intended to write a sequel, but his attempts were fruitless. He did not know what to do next. This is why he wrote the prequels (Prelude to Foundation and Forward the Foundation) instead.

Trevize mentions that no human ship has ever penetrated the Magellanic Clouds, nor the Andromeda Galaxy or galaxies beyond that. Intelligent aliens have been mentioned in the short story Blind Alley. No reason is given why humans have not visited other galaxies, which would seem to be within range of the hyperspace drive.

The book states several times that the Seldon plan does not take into account alien influences. Combined with the ending (see above), one could surmise that for the sequel, he planned to introduce aliens (almost certainly from another galaxy) who would upset and possibly destroy the Seldon plan. It is also possible that Fallom, combined with Daneel's vast knowledge and influence, but uninhibited by the Three Laws of Robotics, would have turned out to be the enemy of humanity (as the last two paragraphs seem to suggest). However, all his fictional citations from the Encyclopedia Galactica are dated after the formation of the Second Galactic Empire. This meant that there could never be irreparable damage to the plan, since, eventually, it must return to its precalculated path.''

Where can I find car seat ratings in an easy to read format? I would like to compare them before I b

We are looking at the Britax line but I would also like to compare some others. The Evenflo Triumph looks so comfortable compared to the Britax.

I was wondering if I should splurge to get one that holds children up to 65lbs but when I look at the car seat, I don't see how a kid that big could possibly sit comfortable in that small thing! Any advice? Does it convert into something else to hold bigger children or do they just fit in there just fine? Also, do you still use the 5pt harness system or do you use a seat belt in it when they get older. I don't want to waste money if my child won't be comfortable or won't want to sit in something like that when he's bigger.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

Where can I find car seat ratings in an easy to read format? I would like to compare them before I buy...?free adware remover

Consumer Reports is not considered an accurate source of information for carseat ratings. I have gained my best car seat information from reading and asking questions at www.car-seat.org.

As for the 65 pound Britax seats (Marathon, Decathlon and Boulevard). Yes, they are worth the extra expense. The can be installed rear facing to 33 pounds (extended rear facing - past 20lbs/12 months is highly recommended) and forward face to 65 pounds or until the child's shoulder's are above the highest harness slots - for many kids this could mean until age 5. The 65 pound Britax seats are not 3-in-1 seats, they do not convert to a belt positioning booster once the child has outgrown the harness. There are very few seats on the market that can do both tasks well and none that can rear face, forward face and act as a booster well. They are safe and adequate for all tasks but personally I don't just want safe and adequate for my children - I want safest and best. You will need a booster seat once your child grows out of any harnessed seat, including a 65 lb Britax seat.

Could Arthur Scargill do better- I think not?

Finally through some very protracted and hard bargaining over several minutes with my supermarket store manager, he has hammered out my new performance related wage and job title settlement. I believe it is a triumph for the individual over the block vote mentality of the misguided herd who choose union representation. From Monday, I may choose (From Millets) a uniform that suitably reflect my status as Senior Car Park Executive Officer (SCPEO) which will be at my own expense but will be dry cleaned for free along with the staff overalls. Inflation, which I agreed with the store manager is running currently at 1% of GDP and is the keystone of the nation's economic plan, would bring down the fabric of our English Heritage if breached and fly in the face of Gordon Brown, Therefore I have behoved to waive a pay increase but to embrace certain working patterns which may appear to involve longer hours but in fact reflect my new status. A trial period of six years was agreed unanimously.

I've been on both lines, although not those exact ships. There is lots of good advice to get details of your ship and the places you will be going from cruisecritic.com. Only some of your time will be on the boat though - it's important to also consider where the boats are going in making up your mind.

I find that Royal Caribbean seems to be a little more formal and elegant in cruising. The boats I've been on haven't felt like Spring Break at Sea. I just tend to find it a little classier overall. It's been my experience that RC staterooms are smaller though

The Carnivals have been bigger floating parties - which isn't negative at all, it's a good time to be had. The biggest negative I send toward Carnival is that the whole time I am on the boat I feel like I'm being sold to: play bingo, buy drinks, buy pictures, buy shore excursion . ..sell sell sell . .it got annoying fast.

Those who follow the ''jihad as war on others'' belief have already answered this question. They're willing to die to force you to join their religion and follow their laws and their leaders. They're willing to die so that females in your society must be less than men. They're willing to die so that the freely chosen government of Israel will be abolished and all its Jewish citizens slaughtered because they are Jews. They are willing to die so that anyone who renounces their religion shall be murdered.

    Convertible car seat question?

I'm currently in the market for a convertible car seat for my children. My oldest currently has a Triumph convertible seat by Evenflo. So far so good, it's been a pretty decent seat, and it seems to be comfortable.

My baby is getting ready for a convertible seat, the infant seat is getting small, and I want to get my oldest a new one as well. I would like to know which seat do you currently own, and what your experience has been with it so far. There are way to many in the market and it's difficult to just choose one, if I could I would get all the ones I like, but that would be unnecessary spending :o)

    Thanks for your advice!!!

    Convertible car seat question?computer security

    Remember these rules:

1)the BEST seat is the one that fits your child, fits your car, and will be used correctly 100% of the time. (This is why convenience features DO make a difference and ARE worth the money! If its easy to use, you're more likely to use it correctly.

2)Children should stay rear facing AS LNOG AS POSSIBLE!!!! The 20lbs/1 year rule is outdated and provides a bare minimum for turning kids forward facing. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration both recommend keeping kids rear facing as long as possible, up to the limits of their seat, preferably until at least 2 years of age. For good reason: A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 4 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age. A child's vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone. In other countries, rear facing 2 - 3 - 4 year olds is standard, they understand that its safer. Here, we turn them as soon as we get to, seeing it as a right of passage thing or something. Ridiculous. Most convertible seats have a 30lbs rear facing limit, Cosco/Dorel/Safety1st/Eddie Bauer seats rear face to 35lbs, Britax rear faces to 33lbs.

What made Abraham Lincoln a good president, and why?

I mean that seriously. Freeing the slaves was barely an accomplishment for a man who went on record as saying he believed that blacks ought to be stay in their 'rightful place' in the bondage of whites, and was appealing to the victors of a war upon which his legacy was dependent. If it were not for the fact that the Civil War broke out the way it did when it did and ended the way it did, how would we really rate Lincoln today? Would we still attempt to make all his previous political failures the greatest story of personal triumph or would we call them what they are, and start finally recognizing why they occurred? Thoughts on the matter please one way or the other, but first and foremost, what made him great if ya don't mind answering that.

What made Abraham Lincoln a good president, and why?computer protection

Abraham Lincoln, it's true, would have preferred to keep the slaves, BUT in order to keep the union together he went to war. Lincoln's ''emancipation proclamation'' never actually freed any slaves per say. He simply and unfortunately, put it in affect to justify the horrors of a deadly civil war that shook the very backbone of this nation. Prior to these war, we were many states or mini-countries, now we are ONE country. A perfect example of this was Lee, he was pro-emancipation and anti-secession BUT could not fight against his home country, Virginia.

Is this a good EULOGY for CYRANO DE BERGERAC?

Cyrano de Bergerac will be always remembered by his physical structures such as his large nose. Cyrano outshines those around him, finding eloquence in the face of darkness and comforting those who mourn his passing.

He proclaims himself a lover, duelist, writer, poet, musician, and etc. We will linger on his persistent bravery and his nobility of spirit, in taking daring risks to get Christian's letters to Roxanne even though they weren't written by Christian, and his refusal to yield to the patronage system (meaning that an artist would be taken under the protection and be provided for by a nobleman, his patron), surviving by his wit and art alone without help from others, he's a pretty admirable character. Cyrano de Bergerac is a character who holds his personal honor above all else. As a result of this belief, Cyrano's life is one of triumph as well as one of personal sadness. Though he ''wins some, and loses some,'' in the end, he suggests that he is absolutely satisfied with his life as he has lived it because he has lived it honorably.

Is this a good EULOGY for CYRANO DE BERGERAC?cafe racer

On a scale of 1 to 10 it's a 6. I think this eulogy is too descriptive. Highlight the person and what he stood for and who he was but without describing the exact circumstances of his actions.

    Try this:

Cyrano de Bergerac will be missed. A man of shinning eloquence in the face of darkness, he will always linger in the minds of those who mourn his passing. And who could forget that nose!

A self proclaimed lover, skilled duelist, writer, poet, musician, and for many, a brave and noble man who risked his life to get Christian's letters to Roxanne. Cyrano de Bergerac was above all, a man with great honor, a true hero with an unrivaled dedication to others.

Cyrano's life is one of triumph as well as one of personal sadness. Although he won, and lost, in the end, he proclaimed he was absolutely satisfied with how he lived his life because he lived it with honor.

Muslims: Is the Prophet Muhammad(S) the last messenger of God and his beloved infallible (sinless)or

    Bismillah al rahman alrahim

Muslim scholars do not speak in one voice on this subject. Some claim that the Prophet (s) is sinless or infallible ONLY in the delivery of Allah's message. Other than that, he (s), just like others, sins and makes mistakes in many things.

This faction of scholers base their opinion on the traditions narrated in their books about how the Prophet falls asleep and forgets the prayer time, and even forgets to perform the necessary ablution (Wudu) for prayer . Furthermore, they claim that he used to sit with Aisha umm almuminin and watch a dance with music . They also claim that he (s) was affected by a magical spell that caused severe episodes of hallucination on his part. These are but a FEW of the most heinous of acts that these ''scholars'' attribute to the Mercy to Mankind, the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (s).

Note that according to other Muslim scholers, these traditions are NOT authentic, nor do they constitute ANY truth whatsoever. Again, these traditions were inserted into their books by the Umayad, among others, to justify their own corruption and insolence. For when the Prophet (s) sins so heinously as they depict him (s) in the above traditions, we can no longer blame Uthman, or Muawiyah, or Yazid, or Amr Ibn al-Aas, among others, when they sin. It is to their advantage to portray the Prophet (s) as a man who listens to music and watches a dance with his wife, to justify the dancing and the music that was (and still is) rampant in their palaces.

  • Do people really understand what ';BAD'; dental advice is?

I posted a question earlier, after reading numerous ridiculous answers from people who had no idea what they were talking about, concerning why people give dental advice when, like I said, they really have no idea what they are talking about. From the fact that I got 3 thumbs downs, apparently I struck a few nerves. So I just wanted to give examples of what I mean by ''Bad'' dental advice and see if anyone else agrees.

Any cure for periodontal disease?(And this one got best answer!)

Try using a high-quality electronic toothbrush (such as Oral-B Triumph). It greatly improves the health of the gums. A little expensive, but well worth the money.

Uh, there is not cure for periodontal disease. Even if there was, it wouldn鈥檛 be an electric toothbrush.

There's no way in hell a root canal is supposed to cost 875$!!!! Did he fill it with gold or something?! I think they are supposed to cost no more than $200! I'd be questioning the crap out of that dentist

And in what office does this person work??? That is very reasonable for a root canal.

Point is, people are asking for advice, and some people are just talking out their heads, without having any real knowledge of the subject.

Do people really understand what ''BAD'' dental advice is?antivirus

You are absolutely right about your periodontal point, as there is no ''cure'' for periodontal disease. However, I have to disagree with you regarding the usual fee for endodontic therapy. If someone provides a root canal for $200, I'd be questioning that. In Judges 11: 30-31 it says, '' And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: ''if you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.'' Of course, you know he goes on to win the victory over the Ammonites and upon returning home sees his daughter coming to greet him from his house.

He gives her two months to mourn that she will not marry and kills her and sacrifices her as a burnt offering.

Deuteronomy 12:31 says, ''You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detesable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.''

My question is that if God does not accept human sacrifice, then why did He accept Jephthah's? One Jewish lady cited this last scripture to show that the Jews considered this act to be detestable. Thank you!

    Orthodox Jewish folks please?antivirus software

It is used by the Rabbis to show something detestable! There is a procedure called ''Heter Nedarim'' whereby one can annul a personal vow, after which you brign a ''Korban Chatas'' (sin offering) and the vow is annuled. this vow was a personal one and thus Jepthah should have nullified. In fact- Rashi in his cemmentary 11:39 states that after her death the comment ''it was a statute'' points out that the Sanhedrin heavily piblicised the law in such a matter to prevent it from ever happening again sine Phinehas the Kohen would have annulled the vow! he also states that Jepthah's life was cut short and died painfully from boils as a result of this action.

His own two feet or a camel. (If you must capitalise triumph, I think a Harley would have been more appropriate, and personally, I would have chosen a Norton).
Jesus had to tie a rope to one of his hands like a little kid to make sure he didn't run away then Jesus had to drag him the whole way because he didn't want to walk because he was a lazy bas tard. Just kidding, he didn't exist, I almost got you there didn't I ;)
it was a 1904 ford something
Yup, you could hear the roaring of his triumph all round the streets of Egypt
No, he used his own two feet. However when the Israelites left Egypt the were all in one Accord.
    A pair of good shoes.

    GOD bless

So did the rest of the children of Israel as they went through the wilderness.

What is the point of view in the poem ';The Hero,'; by Siegfried Sassoon?

im having trouble trying to figure out the point of view

'Jack fell as he'd have wished,' the mother said,

And folded up the letter that she'd read.

'The Colonel writes so nicely.' Something broke

In the tired voice that quivered to a choke.

She half looked up. 'We mothers are so proud

Of our dead soldiers.' Then her face was bowed.

Quietly the Brother Officer went out.

He'd told the poor old dear some gallant lies

That she would nourish all her days, no doubt

For while he coughed and mumbled, her weak eyes

Had shone with gentle triumph, brimmed with joy,

Because he'd been so brave, her glorious boy.

He thought how 'Jack', cold-footed, useless swine,

Had panicked down the trench that night the mine

Went up at Wicked Corner; how he'd tried

To get sent home, and how, at last, he died,

Blown to small bits. And no one seemed to care

Except that lonely woman with white hair.

What is the point of view in the poem ''The Hero,'' by Siegfried Sassoon?antivirus protection

Limited omniscient. The point of view has access to the inner thoughts of the Brother Officer, but not to the thoughts of Jack's mother.

The last sentence comes directly from Sassoon, I think, and not from the Brother Officer's thoughts. It's a summary estimation that (to me) doesn't seem likely to issue from the more-or-less established character of the Brother Officer. Officers who make judgments of the sort he makes--Jack was thoroughly judged, in accordance with 'the ethics of the trenches'--such officers do care, but not about the concerns Sassoon has.

oh and the imagery is easy Atticus was sitting in the dark except for the lamp next to him which symbolizes him(the light) because he has an ''enlightened'' mind set towards racism and is not in the shadows (racism) the mob

I've been feeling emo lately, so here is a collection of all of my emotions rolled in one:

    Battle between,

    Smoldering ashes,

    Dust of bone sigh

    Sky's bright eye.

    Son of the sea banished,

    Golden triumph.

    Broken soul,

    No winning, nor goal.

    Moonshine spark,

    Fireworks blaze,

    Fight of father right,

    Star's unblessed night.

    Tired of life,

    Caterpillar trapped in cucoon,

    Foot steps passing time,

    Love is a crime.

it describes love. how it can be a battle to death, and how depressing it can be. it says, ''Broken soul, No winning, nor goal.'' I think its saying the person who wrote it is heart broken.

I think it says love is a crime, because it is hard 2 live with. sometimes. it really depends on the situation, and how the poet feels at the time he/she wrote it.

    I liked it. :)
Ditch the commas at the end of the lines, its redundant, but the diction is great.
The verses are way too short and convey only words rather than meanings. I understand what you mean but try putting in more feelings and emotions for this looks kind of cold,as though a machine is writing it. I know you've got heaps of talent hidden in you. Let yourself go and the end result will be marvellous, i'm sure. Good luck:-)

Who is the greatest ever footballer?? zizou, maradona, or pele?

who do you think is the greatest footballer ever. for me its zidane. i cant comment on maradona, or pele as i havent seen them play that much. but i grew up watching zidane, and for me he is the best i have ever seen. if not the best player eva, he certainly is the most beautiful player that this sport has witnessed. he's just about done everything in his career, won all domestic trophies with juventus, and became one of the greatest gallacticos ever at the bernabeu, and he attained the status of god in france by singlehandedly taking his team to world cup glory in 1998, and swiped aside every team in the european championshps in 2000. he was lost for a while but the real zizou returned in germany 2006, for one last hurrah, and almost added another triumph to his glittering career. but it was his performance against brazil that defined him, just like the 98 final. he showed that not even ronaldinho deserves to lick his shoes.

he outshone all others in a very competitive era.

The Battle of Algiers--intelligent people only?

Do you think the Battle of Algiers was a lesson about terroism or about a history of triumph of freedom fighters, or maybe both?

    Explain...

The Battle of Algiers--intelligent people only?antispam

I'm not sure whether you're talking about the actual battle, or the famous French movie of the same name, but I suppose it really doesn't matter.

Terrorism was certainly used to great effect by the Algerian rebels, the FLN, both in demonstrating their ability to strike at will, right under the noses of the French, and in provoking the French to take more repressive measures to try to quell the insurgency.

As we see in the movie, and in the actual battle, that is exactly what the French did. Using elite paratroops, and the police, the French engaged in widespread torture, aerial bombing of crowded neighborhoods, and lockdowns of whole neighborhoods, among other brutal tactics. Although the French were successful in breaking the general strike that had been called in support of the FLN, and in systematically destroying the command structure of the FLN, the brutal methods they used elicited much criticism from the world community, and created much doubt among the French themselves as to the correctness of their role in Algeria. Ultimately, the French won the battle but lost the war.

I have heard that ''The Battle of Algiers,'' the movie, was making the rounds of the Bush administration a while back, apparently because it was seen as a demonstration that a systematic approach can quell an insurgency. If that is true, then then Bush and Co. have completely missed the point of the movie. The point of the movie, although it is indirectly conveyed, and the lesson of history, is that once an insurgency gets started, if it has the support of the general population, there really is no putting it down. The more the occupying power tries to suppress it, the more it grows, and even if it seems to subside temporarily, it can flare up again in a moment.

    whos danny way?

Ordinary people can do terrible things to other human beings?

I am just appalled at how decent people, if taught badly in their formative years, can be indoctrinated that bad things are right and proper. There are a lot of people about with pretty extreme views on different subjects...and once the human gets into a crowd our herd instinct tends (for most of us!) to take over - it is a hard-wired survival instinct. Put together enough people with an extreme view as to have some actual power and you have an automatic recipe for disaster.

Of course you are right but it is even happening here on yahoo. There are a pack of people who want to crucify the Mcaans without any reason except in their own minds. I used to think that lynch mobs were gone and forgotten. But reading some of their remarks make me wonder. It seems that having a child abducted is now a crime.
hmmm food for thought...good to know. yours was a statement rather than a question. i tend to agree -- partially, depending on the many circumstances. it is hard to generalize -- think about it again. hope it helps.ps. usually it is leaders that do the bad things..and they are not simple people..think hitler, attila, stalin, and a host of others...currunt day burma leader etc.
And how would you know if someone was taught badly in their ''formative'' years? And how exactly would you or anyone else know what is bad, right or proper? Other than the usual, killing, raping robbing etc.= bad. Freindly, helpful, charitable etc..=good. Humans are not herd animals, we are not cows or horses, or gazelles etc. We are a family based species, that form communities. The only hard wired survival instinct left in humans is fight or flight. The majority of people couldn't survive without their grocery stores and cosy homes. Personally I don't want to be near people, that's why I live way out in the country, because there are no people...aka dumb as sess.
It is all too easy to dehumanize our adversaries. We are all guilty of doing this in some form or another. Bunching folks into groups, and hanging a label on them. We have all used racial slurs, for example, bar none.....now be honest.

There once was a blonde who was very tired of blonde jokes and insults directed at her intelligence.

So, she cut and dyed her hair, got a make-over, got in her car, and began driving around in the country.

Suddenly, she came to a herd of sheep in the road. She stopped her car and went over to the shepherd who was tending to them.

''If I can guess the exact number of sheep here, will you let me have one?'' she asked.

The shepherd, thinking this was a pretty safe bet, agreed.

''You have 171 sheep,'' said the blonde in triumph.

Surprised, the shepherd told her to pick out a sheep of her choice.

She looked around for a while and finally found one that she really liked.

She picked it up and was petting it when the shepherd walked over to her and asked, ''if I can guess your real hair color, will you give me my sheep back?''

  • Will a born again Christian go to hell if he or she commits suicide?

Nope, you can't go to hell if you are saved. God said you have eternal life if you accept His Son as your Savior. John 3:16 clearly shows us that. You can't lose ETERNAL LIFE, otherwise it isn't eternal! Suicide is not the answer, though. Suicide is a sin, and Jesus died to cleanse ALL sins. If you reject Jesus, though, He can't help there. Whatever you do, never, NEVER, commit suicide. Satan tries to triumph over born-again Christians with suicide. don't give in, don't submit to Satan. James 4:7 says ''submit to God, and the devil will flee.'' Pray and Satan will run in fear of God's power. God decided when you were to be born, He is to decide when you are to die. don't assume God's authority. If you commit suicide, you are showing Satan he can defeat you. God's power can override Satan's. He can help you. Let Him.

Just because you're born again, you don't get off the hook. God still counts it as a sin, so don't commit suicide. NO MATTER WHAT! God cares for you!

Will a born again Christian go to hell if he or she commits suicide?virus

No you won't go to hell if you're saved because when you're saved all of your sins are covered under the blood of Jesus Christ. I won't commit suicide though, I have too much to live for. Jesus died so we could live and committing suicide would kinda be like slapping him in the face.

I'm really considering buying a Britax Car Seat, but...?

I have read that the Evenflo Triumph Car Seat is also a great buy. My concern is safety. I was wondering if the Evenflo Car Seat as been through the same testing in Europe as the Britax Car Seat has? Has anyone had experience with both car seats? I'm a little low on cash and thats why I was looking at the Evenflo car seats.

I'm really considering buying a Britax Car Seat, but...?triumph

We have one of each. We bought the Evenflo Triumph when my first outgrew his infant carseat, and now that he is almost 4, he could STILL be in it, as he hasn't hit the 40 pound weight limit yet. However, his younger brother is using it now. My oldest is now in a Britax Regent (which is a 5 pt harness for older kids). We chose the Evenflo over the Britax because our car didn't have LATCH, and according to consumer reports at the time, The Triumph worked better with a seatbelt than the Britax seats did. Things may have changed in the last few years, though. They both do really well in crash tests, in fact, they are the two top rated seats on the market. Now, I've never used the Britax convertible seats, but I find the Evenflo a bit easier to use, particularly with a rearfacing child (the side knob to tighten the harness is awesome). However, the Britax fits my older child better than the Triumph did. If you're low on cash, go with the Evenflo, especially if you're using the seatbelt to install instead of LATCH, and take it to a certified car seat technician to install it correctly. As I said, my almost 4 year old could still be in the Triumph if we didn't need it for our youngest, and my youngest is still rearfacing (the limit for rearfacing is 30 pounds in the triumph) without any complaints. :) Hope that helps!

68 evinrude o.b. cranks,no spark.let up on key and get single spark? help?symantic

Does the motor crank over fast or slow? If slow, remove the spark plugs and retest. If you have spark back, you have a voltage issue. Could be the starter using too many amps, not leaving enough for the ign till you turn off power to the starter.

Back in the late 60's to the early 70's Johnson/Evinrude used several different ign systems. Does yours have the spark plug leads coming out from under the flywheel with a box on the right side that has Motorola on it? If so, make sure the voltage to the box stays above 10.5 volts when cranking, if not we need to get it there.

Or is the a box on the side with 10 wires going to it and 3 coils, 1 for each plug? Then we have a different issue.

    Let us know.

All hair removal methods have tricked us with their promises of easy,

painless removal. The epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now.... The Wax!!

    My night began as any other normal weekday night. Come home; fix dinner;

played with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my

mind for the next few hours; ''Maybe I should do the hair removal thing for

    the month?''

So I headed to the site of my demise; the bathroom. It was one of those cold

wax kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in

your hand and then they get warm and you peel them apart, press it to your

So I pull one of the thin strips out. It's two strips facing each together,

Fred Hoyle (British astrophysicist): ''A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.'' (2)

Realization of the complexity of what is accomplished makes it very difficult not to use the word 'miraculous' without taking a stand as to the ontological status of the word.'' (3)

Paul Davies (British astrophysicist): ''There is for me powerful evidence that there is something going on behind it all....It seems as though somebody has fine-tuned nature鈥檚 numbers to make the Universe....The impression of design is overwhelming''. (4)

Paul Davies: ''The laws [of physics] ... seem to be the product of exceedingly ingenious design... The universe must have a purpose''. (5)

Alan Sandage (winner of the Crawford prize in astronomy): ''I find it quite improbable that such order came out of chaos. There has to be some organizing principle. God to me is a mystery but is the explanation for the miracle of existence, why there is something instead of nothing.'' (6)

John O'Keefe (astronomer at NASA): ''We are, by astronomical standards, a pampered, cosseted, cherished group of creatures.. .. If the Universe had not been made with the most exacting precision we could never have come into existence. It is my view that these circumstances indicate the universe was created for man to live in.'' (7)

Now do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah??

    Read this... http://www.fatheralexander.org/booklets/...

    Prophecies by content

The prophets wrote that the Messiah would have two natures: a human (Gen. 3:15, Is. 7:14, Gen. 22:18, Ps. 41:7, Dan. 7:13) and a Godly (Ps. 2; Ps., 45; Ps, 110; Is. 9:6; Jer. 23:5; Bar. 3:36-38; Mic. 5:2; Mal. 3:1), that He would be the greatest prophet (Deut. 18:18); king (Gen. 49:10; 2 Samuel 7:13; 1 Chron. 17:12-13; Ps. 2, Ps. 132:11, Ez. 37:24; Dan. 7:13) and High Priest (Ps. 110; Zach. 6:12), anointed by God (the Father) for these duties (Ps. 2, Ps. 45; Is. 42; Is. 61:1-4; Dan. 9:24-27), and will be a kind Shepherd (Ez. 34:23-24, 37:24; Mic. 5:3).

The prophecies also witness that the main role of the Messiah will be to defeat the devil and his powers (Gen. 3:15; Num. 24:17), redeem people from sin and to heal their physical and spiritual illnesses (Ps. 40; Is. 35:5-7, 42:1-12, 50:4 and the 53rd chapter and 61:1-3; Zach. 3:8-9) and to reconcile them with God (Gen. 49:10; Jer. 23:5 and 31:34; Ez. 36:24-27; Dan. 9:24-27; Zach. 13:1); that He will sanctify the faithful (Zach. 6:12), will establish a New Covenant in place of the old (Is. 42:2, 55:3 and 59:20-21; Dan. 9:24-27), and that this covenant will be for eternity (Jer. 31:31; Is. 55:3). The prophets predicted the calling of the Gentiles to the Kingdom of the Messiah (Ps. 72:10; Is. 11:1-11, 43:16-28, 49:6 and 65:1-3), the spreading of faith, beginning with Jerusalem (Is. 2:2), that His spiritual blessings will extend to all humanity (Gen. 22:18, Ps. 132:11; Is. 11:1, 42:1-12 and 54:1-5; Ez. 34:23 and 37:24; Amos 9:11-12; Ag. 2:6-7; Zeph. 3:9, Zach. 9:9-11), and the spiritual bliss of the faithful (Is. 12:3).

What about ''Disgrace'' by JM Coetzee. Set in South Africa and won the Nobel price for literature. It's quite a dark book, so not sure it can be defined as 'triumph' although survival itself can be a triumph.

In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?

I know that BJJ is pretty tough for injuries, and the danger increases during injuries because players play for victory and triumph , so they don;t care about the opponent. So i' d like to know this. If in order to advance from whit to blue, from blue to purple, from purple to brown and from brown to black and etc... if you have to compete in tournaments .

In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?software

I think real fights are an important part in attaining the highest belt possible in any art. If all you do is kata and practice, you're not really what you are training for are you....

In order to advance your belt in BJJ , you have to compete in tournaments ?vincent

you have to take exams before geting promoted to a higher degree belt obviously they know you can fight but theyre going to test you in skill ,knowledge, your degree of leadership, and many more cause you have to prove you are more then a fighter
I don't think tournaments are neccessary.
they are not necessary but they help. They show that you can actually apply the techniques in a live setting. You can also learn alot of little things from competing against another person at full force.

At my school none of the blue belts have not competed atleast once but the pressure to compete is not there. We do enough live rolling after classes that our instructors can see how well people are progressing.
If not, how do you know you're learning anything? Tournaments should come as close to the real world as any of us truely hope to get, so they become the proving ground for everything we're learning. Some say tournaments are not necessary, and I say that they are just as important as learning how to close your fist properly.
depends on the academy..at my academy you do not have to compete in tourneys to promote..but there is annual inter-academy tournament where we compete against each other in our own school, which also determines belt promos. bottom line is we're all there to make each other better not to harm each other, although every academy has the meathead white belts that refuse to tap and crossface the hell out of their opponent's nose etc. but for the most part it's geared towards improvement in bjj. p.s. dont enter 'grappling' tourneys that allow heel hooks, spine locks etc. because that's where all the meatheads kick it
Yes you do, you have to show proficiency, you have to prove that you can apply what you've learned, and you do so in tournaments.

With the Democrats' full-throated moralizing of late, I'm almost tempted to vote for them --

The sudden emergence of the Swift Butt Veterans for Truth demonstrates that the Democrats would prefer

Unfortunately for them, the psychotic Kim Jong Il seems to be setting off nukes,

At least with former Rep. Mark Foley, you could say the Democrats' hypocritical grandstanding

Current New Mexico governor and former Clinton administration official Bill Richardson has been on tour,

    The End of Work?

Twenty years ago the coming of ICTs was threatening the end of work...The 'death of work' is certainly not reflected in the data on the labour force. The growth of new technologies has in many areas compressed time through the expansion of work, and changed the nature of space, rather than eliminating it, by diffusing the spatiality of work into other zones. The unleashing of an embarassing excess of leisure opportunities forecast in the 1970s and 1980s is now confronted by evidence of both longer working hours and an increase, particularly among women, of participation rates.....As the efficiencies of the new ICTs displace traditional occupations, instead of the triumph of leisure we obtain both increases in unemployment but also expansion of insecure, low-paid and largely female paid employment in a labour market expanded to embrace work previously located in the informal or service sectors.' ( Golding, P. 2000)

Should we be optimistic or pessimistic with regard to these developments? Will you work less or more than your parents' generation? If so, at what cost?

    The End of Work?photoshop

Well according to the models I've looked at, you'll get a varying answers because of geography. In North America....it certainly seems like we're working more than our parents. But some countries in Europe, are enjoying more leisure days than their parents.

    4. ''Just Close Your Eyes'' - Waterproof Blonde (Christian). One of the things that made me mark out for Christian in the first place. As a full song, it's a bit too slow at parts, but the WWE remix for Double C's entrance is great,

    5. ''The Final Countdown'' - Europe (Bryan Danielson). Alright, it's a bad song. But somehow, it's turned into one of my favorite wrestling songs ever, maybe because I'm a Dragon mark, who knows? It's so good to use, if I ever participating in something that requires a theme song, I'm turning to this, or maybe Copa Cabana.

Sorry it a day for blonde jokes for me:)?

An overweight blonde went to see her doctor for some advice. The doctor advised that she run ten miles a day for thirty days. This, he promised, would help her lose as many as twenty pounds.

The blonde followed the doctor's advice, and, after thirty days, she was pleased to find that she had indeed lost the whole twenty pounds. She phoned the doctor and thanked him for the wonderful advice which produced such effective results.

At the end of the conversation, however, she asked one last question:

''How do I get home, since I am now 300 miles away?''

She picked it up and was petting it when the shepherd walked over to her and asked, ''if I can guess your real hair colour, will you give me my sheep back?''

The blonde thought it was only fair to let him try. ''You're a blonde! Now give me back my dog.''

The traditional ending of a modern hero鈥檚 story is very similar to the ending of the Grendel and Beowulf fight. The hero is victorious and has defeated his enemy, while the rest of the society is joyous and forever commemorates the hero鈥檚 triumph. However, Beowulf continues on after the ending of Grendel, and goes on to defeat Grendel鈥檚 mother. It is not until Beowulf is much older and his strength is weakened that Beowulf faces his most difficult battle yet. An infuriated dragon searches for Beowulf鈥檚 kingdom with full intention to destroy it in search of a stolen treasure. Once Beowulf鈥檚 hall is destroyed, he makes the traditional vow for revenge. Once he reaches the dragon鈥檚 lair, Beowulf and the dragon fight in another violent and gruesome battle.
