Doesn't Israel celebrating 60 years of independence prove that good triumphs over evil?

Israel was attacked on the day of its independence by the armies of five ever-so-peaceful Arab neighbors with the stated goal of ''pushing the Jews into the sea''. Against all odds, the fledgling state without an organized military managed to defeat their attackers and form the only secular, Western-style democracy in the entire Middle East.

Yes it does :) I am very proud to be part of this country 60 years means a lot!

For those of you who still think Israel stole the land I suggest you open a book or two and start reading before making accusations.

Here are some facts to help you start :

Palestine was the name of the country (which includes Jordan), not a nation. This country had Jewish Palestine, Arab Palestine and Christian Palestine citizens and was controlled by the British when the UN decision accrued, before that it was controlled by the Turkish and by the Muslims at some point.

Over 800,000 Jewish refugees escaped Arab countries through out history because of violence, over 580,000 of them settled in Israel.

In 1948 Islamic leaders encouraged the Arabs to exit Israel with a promise to first clean the land from Jews and then re enter. 68% left by their own will. The ones who chose to stay got Israeli citizeships and are the Israeli ''Palestines'' of today.

That sounds like a good call to me. Israel has had it rough in the past 60 years especially with all of the stupidcide bombers and the 5 different Arab countries starting 5 wars on them and kicking their butt each time. Yea, Israel's got it going. Good job Israel.

AM YSRAEL CHI!
no
No it doesn't. Israel is not innocent in all this, not by a long shot.
Good always wins go Israel.
Absolutely 100%, and I am for Israel. God bless Israel
